Well Windsor Launch

What a week! On the day before World Mental Health Day, we officially launched our brand-new charity… We hosted an event with 100 schools, businesses, community members and charities present where we talked about the need to come together to better support our local children with funds, volunteerism and advocacy at this vital time.

We explained the progress Well Windsor has already made since the start of the new school year - funding extra curriculum activities, counselling, training and facilitating shared mental wellbeing programmes - across eight Windsor pilot schools representing just over half of our pupils.

The response from the community has been incredible and we followed it up with our wonderful schools doing a non-uniform day on Thursday to raise funds and awareness in support of Well Windsor. Over 3,500 kids were dressed in yellow and turquoise for World Mental Health Day and communication went out to parents, residents and local businesses via the schools and Council. We were also mentioned in local papers and the Radio Berkshire breakfast show.

So now we’re officially up and running the work really begins. I get to represent the incredible Board of Trustees in this photo and Advisors with skills in Psychology, School Governorship, Education, Health, Finance, Events, Marketing and the charity sector amongst others.

What can you do? Follow us on our new socials and support us with funds, ideas and offers of support!
