Never say never again
To draw attention to the launch of our new charity, I have decided to ditch the ‘never again’ promise I made in 2018 after my first Ironman triathlon and dust off the wetsuit, lycra and trainers for my second one on October 6th. A 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike followed by a marathon (26.2 mile) run. It falls just before our Charity launch on World Mental Health Day, October 10th.
I personally have found a strong link between re-building my physical health and good mental health and the training has been welcome during what have been a couple of challenging years both on the professional and personal front. Some of you may know that my dear Mum, Antonia (Toni) Nuttall passed away in March this year after a sudden and out-of-the-blue cancer diagnosis. She was a primary school teacher by profession and passionate advocate of youth mental health. She is the founder donor of Well Windsor and will certainly be on my mind as I face the Ironman challenge on October 6th. Love you Mum. xx
Here’s my fundraising page. Any support is greatly appreciated.
